After the fall of the Great Zimbabwe, the Mutapa dynasty was scattered, and it was becoming weaker. 2 centuries passed, and a new era emerged: the Rozvi state, under the rule of one of the VaNyai, a Nyai warrior called Dombodzvuku. During the early 1680s, Dombo led his army to the southwest, where he conquered the Togwa.
